The Gateway offers a one door access point to a network of experienced and passionate social marketers.  Our mission is ‘changing behaviour’, through the application of social marketing approaches and techniques.

  • Gateway Resourcing – working with clients to develop their internal marketing and behaviour change skills, capacities and confidences via a suite of training, mentoring and coaching supports
  • Gateway Insight – researching and developing actionable insight to support customer-centric service development, organisational change and behaviour change interventions
  • Gateway Development – taking research findings and actionable insight, and developing and implementing behaviour change interventions, projects and programmes
  • Gateway Digital – enabling engagement and dialogue with individuals and groups of people through digital technology including social media, web applications and websites
  • Gateway Corporate – working with clients to foster organisational behaviour change and corporate social responsibility.

We recognise that many of the big challenges we face, in the areas of health, the environment, sustainable development and more, will only be resolved if people change their behaviours and adopt more healthy and socially responsible lifestyles.

Enforcing change on people, through regulation and legislation, will only work so far.  We need to start with our customers in mind and find ways to encourage and support them to change on their own behalf.

The latest thinking in marketing and the behavioural sciences allows us to develop a sophisticated understanding of what drives people’s behaviour.  With this insight, and a customer focus, we can develop targeted and valued interventions and programmes that will help steer or nudge behaviour change in the desired direction.

We recognise that at a time of increasingly severe cuts to budgets and staff, many organisations will be searching for ways to enable their staff to operate more efficiently and effectively.  Public facing organisations need to be smarter in designing and commissioning services that will be valued and used by their customers.  We provide better ways of delivery that make it easy for people to engage with and consume these services.

The application of marketing thinking and behavioural theory offers us a tried and tested approach that, in the current climate, cannot be ignored.
