Since 2019, we have delivered 170+ sessions, training 1,850 staff and volunteers including 150+ Benefits staff, 227 Public Health Community Champions, 130+ Customer Services staff, 110+ Maternity staff, 125+ GP Practice staff, 75+ Housing Officers, 60+ Physiotherapists, 55+ Adult Community Nursing staff and 40+ Adult Social Care staff.
When the Covid 19 pandemic was in full swing, we developed and delivered training to staff manning the Emergency Helpline, and also staff working in both primary care and in community settings who were having conversations about vaccine engagement. A Train the Trainer programme has been developed for community champions in the third sector to cascade the MECC approach in local communities. We have successfully renewed our contract with City and Hackney following competitive re-tendering.
